Many elderly and disabled people live just above the Federal Poverty Guidelines and so do not qualify for Medicaid. They must pay for their own medical and living expenses, so they often live in poverty. They do not eat regularly and have no one there to help them with household chores or assist them to take a shower. After they pay their rent, utilities, medical insurance or doctor bills, and prescriptions, there is nothing left. By the time they give us a call, they are desperate for help and afraid that they will have to leave the comfort of their home for a nursing home. This year we have pledged to raise $100,000 from citizens like you to provide free and sliding scale services to elderly and disabled people who do not qualify for Medicaid assistance. √ $50 buys a box of adult diapers
or replaces a broken vial of insulin. √ $100 brings an attendant into a
home for a month to cook a meal, clean and do laundry. √ $1,000 pays for one year of
in-home care services for an elderly or disabled member of our community. √ For less than $85 dollars per month YOU can give a family the option of keeping Grandma or Grandpa at home rather than in a nursing home, or you can give a disabled person the ability to live at home and remain active in the community. When you make your donation be sure to specify that it is to go towards the Client Assistance Fund. To make a donation online:
